All medications can be ordered:
- By calling the practice on the appropriate phone number:
- Belchers Lane Surgery 0121 772 0383
- EMC Surgery 0121 455 6170
- Glebe Farm Road Surgery 0121 783 3803

- In writing
- Using our online services – SystmOnline. If you are not registered for online services and you would like to register, please complete our Register For Online Services Form
- Through your registered pharmacy
Repeat prescriptions will be ready for collection within 2 working days. Acute prescriptions will be ready after 3 days.
If you are unable to come to the surgery please send a stamped addressed envelope so we can post it to you. Uncollected prescriptions for over a month will be destroyed or the patient will be advised to see GP if required.
Your prescription will go to the same place as your previous prescription, unless you specifically notify us to the contrary. This now also applies to ‘special requests’.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to consult with a pharmacist, a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications. The notification date should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions. If you have been advised by the surgery that your medication review is due, you will need to fill out our Medication Review Form.
Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)
The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is a NHS service that allows us to send your prescription(s) directly to your chosen pharmacy. This paper-free prescription service means that you do not have to come into the surgery to collect your prescription.
We encourage all patients to register for this free service. You can register for electronic prescribing by completing our EPS registration form.
